The visit also reflects PLU’s continued engagement with young leaders and higher institutions of learning, recognising universities as important spaces for leadership development, public dialogue and the preparation of future national leaders.
Gen. Otema said the two formations share common ground around patriotism, accountability and the fight against corruption, and urged leaders in the sub-region to work together rather than allow unnecessary divisions to undermine mobilisation efforts.
The visit brought together Bunyoro leaders and PLU coordinators for discussions on the next phase of mobilisation across the sub-region, with particular focus on taking the endorsement exercise deeper into districts, constituencies and sub-counties.
The visit provided an opportunity for an engaging interaction with the leadership of the movement, as PLU continues to strengthen its structures and engage leaders and citizens across the country.

The demonstration began at Lugogo Cricket Oval before supporters proceeded through the streets of Kololo to the Turkish diplomatic mission on Elgon Terrace Road. Participants carried PLU colours, placards and messages outlining the concerns that prompted the demonstration.
The endorsement books were officially handed over by PLU General Secretary Rt. Hon. Twalla Fadil, paving the way for the exercise to be extended through organised workers’ structures and networks across the country.
Hon. Ogwang, who also serves as Minister of State for Education and Sports (Sports) and Member of Parliament for Ngariam County, received the books from PLU General Secretary Rt. Hon. Twalla Fadil at the organisation’s National Secretariat in Naguru.
The legislators were received at the PLU headquarters by the organisation’s National Vice Chairman and General Secretary, Hon. Fadil Twalla, as the movement continues to engage leaders and supporters from across the country.
At Karuziika Palace, the delegation joined the Royal Family, Kingdom officials, cultural leaders and mourners from across the country in honouring a King whose three-decade reign made him one of Uganda's most recognisable cultural leaders.
The meeting, convened by PLU General Secretary Rt. Hon. Twalla Fadil, brought together appointed and acting regional and sub-regional coordinators to coordinate mobilisation, organisation and logistical preparations ahead of the demonstration.
The campaign seeks to raise awareness about postpartum haemorrhage, a major threat to women during and after childbirth, while encouraging communities to contribute to efforts aimed at ensuring that blood is readily available for mothers who experience severe bleeding.
