Sebei Takes Up 2031 Endorsement Campaign at Kapchorwa Launch

The gathering provided an opportunity to bring together PLU structures around the endorsement exercise and strengthen coordination as the campaign moves through Kapchorwa, Kween and Bukwo.

KAPCHORWA — The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) on Saturday officially launched the Sebei Sub-region endorsement campaign for Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba for President in 2031, during a major gathering at Kapchorwa Boma Grounds. The launch marked the formal rollout of the endorsement exercise across Sebei.

The programme was led by PLU General Secretary Hon. Fadil Twalla, who joined PLU leaders, coordinators, supporters and local structures in Kapchorwa as the endorsement campaign moved deeper into the sub-region.

For Hon. Twalla, the Sebei launch was also a home engagement. The General Secretary represents Tingey County in Kapchorwa and previously served at the forefront of PLU mobilisation in Sebei before assuming responsibility for coordinating the Secretariat and the movement’s nationwide activities.

The gathering provided an opportunity to bring together PLU structures around the endorsement exercise and strengthen coordination as the campaign moves through Kapchorwa, Kween and Bukwo.

The endorsement books will now continue through our district and grassroots structures, extending the exercise to communities across the sub-region. The Sebei rollout forms part of the wider national campaign, under which physical endorsement books have been distributed through PLU structures across the country.

Saturday’s programme also complemented the digital endorsement exercise running through the PLU platform, which allows endorsements to be recorded by district alongside the physical mobilisation taking place on the ground. All 146 districts are currently represented on the platform.

The Kapchorwa launch builds on PLU’s continuing grassroots mobilisation programme, with regional and organised-group endorsement exercises already undertaken in areas including Teso, Ankole, Masaka and among workers’ leadership.

With the Sebei campaign now officially launched, our structures across the sub-region will take forward the endorsement exercise at district and community level as the nationwide programme continues.
