KAMPALA — Members of Parliament from the Tooro Sub-region, led by Hon. Frank Tumwebaze, today formally endorsed Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba for President in 2031 and beyond, joining the growing number of national and regional leaders taking part in the PLU endorsement exercise.

Vincent Freedom Kacheeru of Kyaka North, Hon. Muhenda Ronald of Fort Portal Central Division, Hon. Mugabe Robert of Kitagwenda, Hon. Kalanzi Victor of Bunyangabu County, Hon. Kabarokole Sarah of Bunyangabu, Hon. Kyogabiirwe Jackie Muganda of Kyegegwa, Hon. Tom Bright Amooti of Kyaka Central and Hon. Speranza Baguma Mubende of Kyenjojo.

For us at PLU, the Tooro engagement adds another important group of elected leaders to the ongoing 2031 endorsement programme, which is being carried through parliamentary, regional, institutional and grassroots structures. PLU’s public endorsement platform continues to operate alongside these physical engagements.

Today’s declaration also builds on earlier engagements by Members of Parliament from other sub-regions, including the Ankole delegation that visited the PLU Secretariat in September and formally endorsed Gen. Kainerugaba for 2031.

The Tooro legislators used today’s engagement to place their position on record together, giving the sub-region a distinct parliamentary presence in the endorsement campaign as PLU continues its political engagements ahead of 2031.
