Uganda’s strength lies in the ability of her people to work together across regions, generations and backgrounds in pursuit of a common future. I recognise the value of civic platforms that encourage citizens to place the national interest first, to participate responsibly in public life and to contribute their skills to the development of their communities.
The Patriotic League of Uganda’s emphasis on unity, discipline, service and socioeconomic transformation speaks to priorities that matter in every part of the country. Patriotism must be more than a sentiment; it should be visible in the way we respect one another, protect public resources, uphold the Constitution and support practical solutions to the challenges facing ordinary Ugandans.
I encourage leaders at every level, and especially the young people who will shape Uganda’s next chapter, to embrace constructive engagement, integrity and a spirit of service. Progress is sustained when citizens are informed, institutions are respected and public leadership remains accountable to the people it serves.
Let us continue to build a peaceful, united and self-reliant Uganda in which every citizen has the confidence and opportunity to contribute to national development.
