For the people of Lira City and the wider Lango sub-region, patriotism must be reflected in the development of our communities, opportunities for our young people, stronger families and a population that is empowered to participate meaningfully in the transformation of our country.
The Patriotic League of Uganda brings a renewed energy to that cause. It provides a platform through which our young people, women, professionals and communities can be mobilised around unity, discipline, hard work and love for country.
As a leader entrusted with representing the people of Lira City, I support a movement that encourages Ugandans not to remain spectators in the affairs of their country, but to become active participants in shaping its future. I believe PLU, under the leadership of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, can help connect the aspirations of communities such as ours in Lira and Lango to the broader national agenda of peace, prosperity and transformation.
